The trick of "donning a mask" might not lead to satisfying results in terms of self-expressiveness, though, nor may it continue to be effective, if you get used to the "mask". Just so people don't get their expectations up. There's a difference between occasionally pretending to "be someone else", and habitually using a "donned" style of expression.
