This is one of the absolute worst aspects of stuttering in my opinion and nobody talks about it, thank you foe bringing this up. Like someone else said, I've mostly switched to saying "I appreciate it". Doesn't quite satisfy me as much Ada proper thank you but gets the job done and feels much better than not being able to get a thank you out in time.
