It takes a great deal of explaining and patience for the vast majority of people to accept that a stutter can manifest as….. hard….. silent….blocks, eye contact avoidance, avoiding the most basic of words, etc etc. P-p-p-p-people mostly only accept that t-t-t-t-this is the only way a stutter can manifest.
