You may hate it now but in the future you will appreciate overcoming such a big obstacle. In college I once had my professor allow me to do a presentation in front of him instead of in front of the entire class. Biggest mistake of the year. I felt like a didn't accomplish anything and I still ended up stuttering alot. Doing it in front of the class at least would have given me the satisfaction of facing a big fear of mine and overcoming it.
