My stuttering has improved a lot from my High School days. Back then, it was a high deal if I stuttered, and that added pressure to not stutter was counterproductive. Now I don't give an F. If I falter, I stutter; I use my speech “tricks,” and it goes much better. Also, I don't feel the pressure I used to. My speech tricks, I stop talking, take a breath, and try to speak slowly, and then my speech is better. I also tap my thumb to my forefinger for each syllable of the word, which helps me slow down.
