Yes, chances are high that it would help. There are many similarities between fluency-enhancing speech therapy techniques and singing training, including use of abdominal breathing, breath control for phrasing, and vocal variety/pitch variation. I know more than one person who stutters who noticed marked improvement after joining a choir. Singing can also help with stress management, which, of course, can help any condition.
