English is my native language, so I took Spanish in high school and loved it. Unfortunately, my stutter is much worse when speaking other languages, especially words that begin with vowels. My anxiety around speaking got so bad that I would have to go the nurse's office often during class because I would work myself into an anxiety attack and almost pass out. Luckily, I had a pretty cool teacher who gave me the choice to present in private. I usually stuck with the same few partners for group/partner presentations because they knew what was going on with my speech, and were okay with presenting during lunch or after class. I wonder if you'd be able to request the same thing for your presentation. Maybe even sweeten the deal a little to show them you're not just trying to get out of it. I would always offer additional time to my presentation, but after a while it was understood that I wasn't trying to get out of presenting, I just didn't want to pass out.
