1. The student is brave. The class can learn from him. 2. Help him (and the audience) feel that it's ok to stutter in a public speech. Because sometimes there is no cure for it and when there is no cure, we all adjust, don't we? My employer provided classes on how to present. There were some good ideas. But at the end I told the instructor something to this effect: look for some of us, presenting is a hard and stressful thing. The #1 advice you can give is have fun presenting and don't worry about it much. Thank you for posting. You are a responsible, kind and thoughtful person.
