It depends on the job. Small business, *maybe* they will look at it, this will depend a lot on the company, role, and industry. Large companies, 99.99% they will roll their eyes and toss it, because they have online systems and procedures and they are not going to go to the trouble of data entering your qualifications for you. If they have a notice or person that specifically says "Apply online", you are wasting your effort with a paper resume. Source: former small business owner who now works in HR. The type of business I ran was such that I would have read a resume that came in the mail, but even if it was stellar, I probably would still have thrown it out because that would have been so weird that I would question the person's judgement. This was for office-type roles and I'm a millennial, so that might be particular to me.
