99% of the time, if someone makes fun of your stutter it’s cus they didn’t know you have a stutter. No one is maliciously doing it. I just say “hey I have a stutter” and they typically apologize or go “oh okay”. I remember I was out to dinner with my gf and our friend and the waitress mocked my stutter when I ordered food. I said “I have a stutter” and it still didn’t register with her. Then in 5 minutes she came back to the table and kneeled down beside me and said she totally didn’t get it and that she was so sorry for doing it. People are dumb, but they aren’t evil.
