Yep. Been there, done that. Anxiety and second guessing ourselves and being hypersensitive to people's reactions is a major factor in stuttering. I've found that addressing this anxiety to be far, far more effective than any speech therapy. This is about building self-confidence, accepting that I've got a speech issue but not giving a f\*ck and just continuing to live my life despite it. I've also found that by building my self-confidence, it improves my life in many other ways as well: makes me more attractive, more fun to be around and improves my work performance. While you're doing speech therapy, take a look at the many, many ways to build your self-confidence and lift your self-esteem. It's the bedrock from how you can address the issues surrounding your stutter. There are too many ways and methods to build one's self-esteem, just pick a method that looks good and try it for awhile: if it doesn't work well, try another method. You'll soon find something that works for you.
