I suppose there's truth to that but from my own experience, I've learned through doing and if you aren't a complete dumbass, you tend to pick up on what works and what doesn't. Through those experiences you develope your own habits but you can't do that if you don't practice and learn through practice lol. I feel as though I would have gotten over the introducing phase well before having children old enough to play sports. Not like you need to strike a riveting conversation with them... Trial and error.
