It's not something to be ashamed of. If anything, if you tell people, they'll be more understanding. Another thing I say is "by the way, I have a stutter, just letting you guys know so you don't think i'm stupid or anything" (this often gets a laugh), especially if I'm meeting people for like the first time. As a stutterer since i was 2, i get it. I believe in you man. :)
