I wouldn’t say harder, but I think sometimes our anxiety gets in our way. At least it gets in mine. Sometimes I need to push myself even though I am scared of stuttering and get “the look” from people… What may help you is doing some disclosure about you’re stuttering, if you’re comfortable with it. Usually, I let people know that I am a stutter before I stutter. So, I feel less pressured to hide it and it also helps them to understand what is happening when I stutter. Sometimes people don’t know how to react, so we can teach them what we would like them to do when it happens…
