So when I have to present or talk to a large group of people I look at my scratch paper for my talking points. Then I just tune everything out. I tune out my fear of stuttering. I tune out my fear of getting laughed at or ridiculed because of my stutter. I tune out what’s going on around me. I do not focus on my words. I just open my mouth and talk. If and when I do get stuck. I just make a quick joke about my stutter and move on.
