I was a high school teacher for many years, and loved it. When I’ve gone to stuttering conventions, I’ve met people who worked at many types of jobs: truck driver, delivery person, carpenter, plumber, horticulturist, USPS, teaching, utility worker, medical doctors, nurses and many more. Think about what you enjoy, and go from there. I cannot imagine doing sales. Just too stressful. I’m a member of MENSA and most assume that MENSANS are physicists, doctors, lawyers, etc. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our local chapter consists of hair stylists, sales clerks, truckers, teachers, and more. I don’t equate MENSA members with intelligence, I equate it with being curious… about everything. We play geeky word and math games at meetings. My point is… find employment and a social group doing what you enjoy.
