Just an idea

Just an idea As a man who's been stuttering since the age of two, I have a recommendation for the vocally challenged out there: call in to a local radio station you like. It's a good way to gain experience being heard by a lot of people at once and honing your skills to breathe properly and carry on a conversation. Personally, I listen to the Break Room on WCMF (96.5) from Rochester, NY every day on the way to work. I really enjoy the banter and personalities of Kimmy, Duffy, and Tommy. Listening to them has given me confidence to have meaningful conversations with the equivalent of local celebrities. If you ever want to boost yourself, call in. Don't tell them you stutter or warn them (as I've done in the past because I'm so damn self-conscious). Just call in and see where the conversation takes you. It could help more than you think. I've called in about 4 times so far and I have absolutely no regrets.
