Exactly! On the outside always looking in. Most of my friends feel very embarrassed about my stutter, and my family thinks it’s annoying. If you have someone you can talk to maybe just over text, that’s nice. Then I’m not worrying about how many times I’m going to block mid-sentence. I’m a sophomore in high school, and I’d live everyday (when we still had school) just watching, feeling, and not expressing. As a stutterers, that’s most of us, as stuttering always comes with some severe social anxiety to a certain degree. Unfortunately I still get HORRIBLE anxiety even when texting, as I never know how to word it right, and it ends up taking a long time for a proper response. But it gives you time, and you can express yourself in words better.
