My first job was at a gas station. I remember I was so nervous because of my stutter. I didn't do really well on the cashier so they made me do the cleaning 😅 (cleaning shelves, restrooms, mopping, sweeping outside on the concrete, cleaning the gas pumps, taking out all the trash, etc). They ended up moving me to a smaller gas station in which I finally got my cashier experience. Then I worked at a fast paced taco place. It actually wasn't that bad. It was in the beginning, but then I got so used to trying to speak fast that I found my ways around my stutter blocks. Then I worked at a college campus store. I didn't mind stuttering, it was just college students anyways so I wasn't that nervous. I'm currently and a trendy local coffee shop. I think my customer service makes up for my stutter lol. This has been my longest job and I like it. I've told my managers that I get worry about my stutter but they assure me that I'm doing a great job and I'm one of their best workers. I love that place So I went from being such a bad worker to a kinda good one :D it just takes experience. It's scary at first but you'll get the hang of it!
