I have a stutter and am running for student council

I have a stutter and am running for student council My stutter first appeared when I was 11 years old and has stayed with me ever since. I use to let it control me as I was afraid to order food at restaurants and I was always afraid of being made to speak in class. I have since mostly gotten over this and have broke away from my shell. I know try to speak in seminar as much as I can and I am now running for vice president for my university's student council. This requires talking to lots of people to get endorsements and to get them to vote for me. I scares me every time I go up to a stranger but I take it slow and it always works out. I still stutter but I don't let it stop me from what I want to do.
