Before I say anything I'd like to clarify that I don't stutter myself, most of what I will say is from what some friends who stutter have told me, and also from my own experience in public speaking situations (in school mostly, since I still attend my country's equivalent of high school, but very much not exclusively) and in helping friends with social anxiety in such situations. Also sorry if my English is wonky at times. You mentioned that you have already tried it out together with your class. Well, then your classmates certainly know that you stutter. This is good because this will not be their first time encountering the fact, thus sparing you several uncomfy questions. If you wanna make extremely sure tho, you can clarify in the beginning that you have a speech impediment, so that they surely know that if you mess up it is not your fault, or, not the fault of something you can control. This should keep uncomfortable questions away, and also deter any potential dumbfucks from making fun of it. If that helps, try thinking of this as just another convo with your class. You are just reading that text like you used to do so many times already. They know what to expect. Your teacher knows what to expect. The teacher will not give you a worse grade for smth you cant control unless they are an absolute asshole. And if that were to be the case, then you can just go to the school higher-ups. So, there can be no major threat to you coming from your peers and teacher, assuming they have basic human morals. And to avoid your own self-confidence drops, I'd advise you to present whatever youll have to read out to your family, friends, class, or even just yourself in the mirror. As many times as needed. This was how I managed to speak to like 500 people at 12 and defeat my fear of messing up. I know I cannot compare my fear at that time with that of someone who stutters, but this did help me to get through it, maybe itll help you too I hope this was of at least some use to you, if you think this was bs, just tell me and I will remove it. My only intention with this comment was trying to help, as upon seeing your post I thought I could do so in some capacity. And if I can help you in any other way with public speaking or reading tips, feel free to DM me as I allegedly am a good speaker and am considered trustworthy in these matters by the people around me, for some reason. And I wish you good luck to your presentations!
