I am glad that you found your peace with stuttering at age 27, I found mine at age 40 (I wished I had embraced earlier but I guess everything happens for a reason. As for your friends, when they were mocking you, that would have been a great opportunity to educate them so that they understand what stuttering is and what they might see as a result of a block/repetition. I, too, wouldn't have cared if they laugh but I find opportunities in my daily life to educate and raise awareness. Cheers to you and now go ENJOY LIFE!!!
