There are a wide range of brain disorders, or disabilities including stuttering that might be ‘cured’ in the next 50-100 years. A cure would come in the form of either pre birth prevention (we are seeing this now with Down syndrome) or a vaccine (many examples). Both of these are a long way off (50+ years) and are ethically tricky. As has been said already, treatment for stuttering (and other brain disorders) is the best course of action.
