Thanks for the reply -- "enjoyed" was totally the wrong word! I was blushing a lot with an increased heart rate while reading it, particularly in the beginning. I liked the "stutter-positivity" element that the book captured, the concept of having to tackle your stutter always drove me a bit nuts because it feels like something that non-stutterers try to pass on to us and this feeling that you are a failure if you aren't fluent. Your last comment is a good point. The author definitely didn't seem to let the stutter hold him back, and I felt like a lot of people seemed fairly compassionate towards him as well? I felt like I've had a fair bit of hostility at times due to my stutter, although I've tried to not let it hold me back (although I haven't been perfect).
