I've felt this way most of my life. I'm 29 and I've been stuttering ever since I could remember. Although my stutter is mild compared to some others, its damaged my mental health to the point where I dropped out of college, lost touch with friends new & old, distanced myself from family, loathed gatherings and existed in state of limbo a recluse if you will (if that's even existing). Living in constant anxiety, stress, and depression. Still battling EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. to gain a little more confidence to live the life I know I'm capable of. Sitting around and feeling bad for ourselves doesnt help. For you to feel something different, you need to experience different. Get out and be active. Connect with people on a physical level whether it's sport, art, music, etc. It helps! Trust me! I'm not where I'd like to be but I'm where I need to be. You're never truly alone if you take them time to notice. Take care and I hope this brings you even a smidgen of comfort.
