OP, I do understand the sentiment. I am not a stutterer but I am married to a person that stutters. I have seen my spouse be discriminated in their job several times and can almost but confirm two lost job opportunities specifically because of their stutter. From an outsider perspective, I feel that there are not enough protections and accommodations for people that stutter. Whether “stuttering is the worse handicap” is a completely subjective opinion and not all will agree. There are so many different variations and degrees of stuttering that it will impact everyone differently. While I cannot say that it is the worst, I can say that there is not enough social awareness about stuttering and that the lack of awareness (and therefore protections) hurt the stuttering community enormously.
