I got my mba about 6 years ago from a large public state university. It was mostly online with some in person components. We partnered up in small teams (5-6 people) that we were with through almost the whole program. I just told them up front what the deal was and how it might impact things. We had a required case competition during the first week. For real. I spoke with the professor heading that and explained that I stuttered. I wasn’t asking for any accommodation, but requested the judges were informed beforehand so they didn’t misinterpret stuttering for lack of knowledge or nerves. The day of, the judges indicated through body language and eye contact that they knew what was up. Nothing was acknowledged but they were very kind. We came in 2nd! There wasn’t really an issue through the rest of the program. There was a lot of video chats and whatnot, but I was able to speak reasonably fluently in those. My advice is to get ahead of it and disclose your stutter upfront. My experience was that people were very understanding and in the case of my team, they were very protective of me. Good luck! You got this.
