It’s probably semantics but the way your (kind!) message gets perceived is not going to lead to the results we all want. 8 months ago, I went from near mute (from stuttering) to near fluent in a short period of time. I still have moments of dysfluency (blocking), but I know how to navigate through them so they have near-zero impact on me emotionally. Ultimately, *a block comes from the ATTEMPT to stop/hide/prevent an audible stutter*. So having “no stutter” as a goal is unlikely to lead to positive results. The helpful mindset is - Hi, I stutter. It’s part of me. Mmmy goal is to sssound *like this*, and to decrease the number of times I have long, painful block, avoid entire sentences/conversations and make something up to get out of a block.
