Very valid question! I have found that though I’m alone I do still stutter when reading aloud, not as much as it would be reading in-front of people, but it does still come out on some words. So more fluent than normal, yes, but completely fluent as a non-stutterer would be, no. My stutter is pretty good when talking to people but when it comes to reading a book or a prepared reading, or on the phone, it’s extremely obvious. I also find I don’t talk quick enough for my brain and eyes when I’m reading and hence I am a fast silent reader. I love to bring awareness to stuttering and talking about my experience with it, so thank you for the question! :)
