College professor for one of my technical classes. In that same class, another classmate, but she rarely spoke up in class. Recently, a new coworker. It took me weeks to realize it because he used his techniques so well and had zero secondary behaviors. He actually brought it up to me since I have a moderate noticeable stutter. Afterwards it was clear to me when he was pausing or easing into a word. It is rare to come across a moderate or severe stutter. Reminds me of a joke I read recently. It’s about a big muscular guy stuttering when asking a store employee a question. The employee refused to respond. The guy left and then another customer asked the employee why they didn’t respond. The employee explained he stutters and any response would seem like he was making fun of the guy.
