I’ve worked in educational settings medical settings and academic settings. I don’t know that I have a preference other than I would not prefer acute care because I like the therapy part of my job and not as much the diagnostics part of my job. I like to establish relationships with patients and I don’t get it do that in an acute care setting but it’s a long-term setting I am more able to do that. When I was working in long-term care I worked with another SLP who stutters and he ran his own mobile modified barium swallow study business and so it was a bit of a fun time to chat with him when I refer patients to him.
