Tips that helped me are, if it's the first encounter (of the day): * I show listeners that I smile strongly and force myself in a happy laughing mood - doing this makes 'whatever I say' bearable for the listener as they will focus more on the laugh than on the weird stutter accent * the first thing before I speak is, I let the listeners focus on my hand that moves from my side to my chest followed by an obvious hearable deep breathe - as to imply that I'm nervous or very cautious to speak - this will bring them in a supportive mood rather than a stutter accent mood
