I watched My Cousin Vinny for the first time and the stutter scene in court really got me

I watched My Cousin Vinny for the first time and the stutter scene in court really got me It reminded me of high school and the handful of disastrous presentations I was forced to give in class. It’s weird, the cringe and second hand embarrassment that I felt watching this scene was exactly how everyone felt about me. Seeing the guy blocking and doing all the mannerisms of trying to spit words out- Brings back some of the worst feelings of wanting to just crawl in a hole and never come out after humiliating yourself in front of a group of your peers. I know it’s supposed to be a funny scene but I guess as someone who’s been through the real life thing it isn’t necessarily funny at all. I just wanna add I’m not offended or anything it just brought back unpleasant feelings that’s all. Of course to people who don’t struggle with stuttering in real life the scene is comical and I understand that! But it’s just the fact that I’m sure all of us have been made fun of and people quite literally view you as a laughing stock and a joke if you stutter. I obviously have a hard time with this and need therapy lol.
