I quit my job and was practically mute for 2 years. During that time, my heat/hot water broke in winter in New England, and I refused to call to address it for 3 days. I got a new job last week and had an open house yesterday with about 50 people. I was confident, calm and mostly fluent. My “therapy” was free and took hard work. It’s a podcast that taught me to DISCLOSE as often as humanly possibly. Make/maintain normal eye contact. Start. Talking. Slowly. And enunciate.
