Have you noticed that you can sometimes study for a long time, and, if you change your expectations you cannot do that anymore? If we have also associated such expectations with stuttering, what can we do to stop relying on such expectations? As the title says, sometimes we can do things for a long time (be it studying, sleeping, or eating a lot), but if we add or remove certain expectations, we cannot do them anymore. In stuttering "high expectations" is a huge issue that triggers stuttering, and the way we often try to treat it is by doing what the expectations 'demand' (or require) (like waiting out pressure in the throat that we perceive as anticipation). **Why not simply stop relying on such expectations**? Let's all discuss this because it's very important!
