Same fear since my childhood! Btw, I tried to call a taxi on the phone once (many years ago) - I was in a hurry to go to the train station. I was very worried and was stuttering like crazy. The dispatcher on the phone said "Lady, I don't understand what you're saying!" and hung up on me. So no taxi arrived, I missed my train and couldn't go to my hometown. I cried all evening, hating myself and my life.
