This is very hypocritical to say. As stutters, we deal with this issue everyday. In schools, at the workplace, interacting with peers and even ordering food. No one chooses to “ignore” the fact. And if I may speak on behalf of fellow stutters, we would actively do anything to become completely fluent. Just because something has worked for you doesn’t mean that everyone else is just “ignoring” it and “choosing to focus on the negative.” This is an uphill struggle that we are all trying to deal with. And instead of bringing fellow stutters down, you should provide practical tips on how we can improve. Don’t beat us up with words. We already have a lot of that.
