Okay hear me out. The thought that has tremendously helped me fight the negative emotions that come with the stutter, is believing that everyone is fucked up and most are simply idiots. Who are you embarrassed or scared to be embarrassed in front of? whoever the hell they are, they are insignificant. If you took a deep look into everyone's lives you will find things that they would trade for a stutter in a millisecond. How many CEOs or supposedly top tier minds have you met that and found out to be absolute idiots? just plain dumb? People that make you wonder how tf did they reach this place? You just need to make a statement to yourself and then the whole world that that's you, yeah here I am, I'm a lot of things, and one of those things is just very obvious. I promise man, with the right attitude, everyone wil eventually look past it, they will look past it because you made them look past it, and in fact, it will become a thing that people actually love about you and found "cute". On the other hand, if you avoid everyone and always get out of things, making it very obvious that you're not comfortable, they will see nothing but the stutter, also because you made them.
