This might be an unpopular opinion, but I didn’t find this book to be helpful at all. I enjoyed reading about stuttering and someone else’s experience. The idea that I was able to gain more insight on stuttering, and some tips and tricks was nice. When I was reading this book, I try to imagine myself how I would incorporate the tips or the strategies he recommends, but it just doesn’t seem ideal. I was working in a doctors office and it would just make me look so silly to not say, the full word, or to use the tricks, he would tell you to do, I believe he also recommended switching words which I personally don’t encourage that for myself. When I switch words, I feel like I’m not saying what I want to say I still have the book. I probably will give it another go just to see how I feel, but it wasn’t my favorite.
