Unfortunately this is why I stopped being social years ago. I'm 32 & have been alone for 5+ years. Yeah it sucks but for me it's better than torturing myself with constant embarrassment everyday...I was fine when I had a very mild stutter in my teens up until my mid 20s & had a few social groups of friends & most ppl didnt even know I stuttered. But when I started heavily stuttering & spitting in people's faces when I talked I called it quits..I've been through too much in my life to be seen as a retard & disrespected by ppl who couldn't walk a mile in my shoes...I hope sometime soon I can find a way to live my life normally again & get atleast 80% fluent again maybe.
