I developed a same issue lately. I never had a problem whispering prayer words under my breath but now i cant seem to do it. Sometimes when i get too frustrated i stop moving my lips and say it in my head. Takes my entire focus away from the prayer. No matter how hard i try to make it go away by using techniques like slowing down or saying it with a rhythm or focusing on the words in my head it just doesnt work.
