I am not a doctor. 40M here. Ive stuttered my whole life although I manage/hide it well with some tricks I've developed. ADHD diagnosis was only 2 years ago and I take Adderall on an as-needed basis (work days). While this is just my individual experience and have no data to back this up, the stimulant has helped. I find that with my increased focus, I've been able slow down a bit more and clear my thinking a bit to allow the words to flow out. The comfort of attention really helps me focus on what I'm saying, which minimizes my stuttering. While it's not a magic pill that will eliminate the stuttering completely, my experience is that it does help. Your mileage may vary. If you're interested in trying, obviously get yourself tedted for ADHD first. TLDR: my situational experience validates your thoughts. Good luck! I'm happy to share more about my experience if you'd like.
