Hey! Your feelings are totally rational. People who stutter represent only 1% of the global population. It's not surpise that many of us build negative perceptions about our speech since we're constantly surrounded by people who speak differently than us. It's good you're seeking to meet more people who stutter, because that's always step 1 in the journey! Meeting other people who stutter will help you build more acceptance in your speech. Along this journey, you'll also be able to stop masking your stutter and disclose confidently because at the end of the day, stuttering is just our accent and nothing else. I launched the first Slack-based stuttering community for professionals who stutter - it's free to join and we already have 150+ professionals (www.stutterfreely.com). We have CEOs and executives as part of this community as well and the most important takeway is, we as people who stutter can achieve just as much as a person who doesn't stutter. Cheers to personal growth! :)
