my story (venting) and looking for skype practice

my story (venting) and looking for skype practice I'm 20 years old and have had a mild stutter since I was very young and have visited a few speech therapists while growing up. I've had times in my life where I was well practiced with speech fluency techniques (high school) and rarely stuttered and far worse times (currently in college) where I dread everyday conversations, answering questions in class and giving presentations. I had a couple close friends in high school but we have gotten out of touch gradually and I have become more reclusive since then and my speech has suffered as a result. It's truly bizarre because in conversations with most of my family i'm incredibly fluent, but when speaking with people I don't know as well my brain seems to forget all the techniques that I learned and my speech is significantly worse. I am perfectly fluent when reading aloud to myself like many of you, but it's frustrating that my fluency varies so much from situation to situation. Recently I decided to not let my stutter define me anymore, so I have been making an effort to embarrass myself by speaking more in my classes and struggling through my words occasionally, but I know that the best treatment for my stutter is to be positive and talk more often. I still hate myself whenever I stutter, but i'm trying to work on that as well. I was just wondering if any of you have had similar experiences with their speech and/or would be willing to practice on skype with me. I love talking about books and video games.
