I can definitely read people better than anyone else I know, but not through their reaction to my stuttering. It's just a trait I developed with time. I do think stuttering is related to this development, just not certain how. Perhaps it made me more wary of the judgement of people, and therefore the need for more information on them arose so as to establish whether they're a threat to me or not. I then extrapolate that knowledge to their potential behavioral tendencies. I work in the HR department of a firm. Out of the people we hired during my time here, the ones I gave the green light to turned out to be stellar, while those I disapproved of disappointments, as I said they would. It can also be a curse though. Sometimes I wish I didn't have the mental chatter and just enjoy hanging out with people without constantly analyzing them. It gives me control, but it also takes away from enjoyment.
