You are 100% wrong, you can lessen with “tricks” and techniques. And ultimately these can very much reduce the amount of times you stutter during the course of a given day, and this is progress. This accumulated confidence reduces the same anxiety the promotes stuttering. However to overcome it, the thought of it must be removed from your mind completely and these tricks will gradually fall off on their own. This takes many years.
