I’ve taught classes before and tutored and, honestly, when you put yourself in that situation you know full well that they will be amused with you. Children are childish. Even well-meaning and sensitive types will feel a bit lost because maybe they are seeing something they don’t understand and it looks weird and they don’t know how to respond. This is without considering the types of children who tend to look for weakness in you and will revel in pointing it out. It is not nice but it is okay because it is a fact of the situation and you grow resilient to it. Your teacher sounds a bit like me. My head jerks if my blocks are bad and my face tends to scrunch in on itself when I am trying to force the words out, my hands shake. If I feel stressed it becomes worse and if somebody laughs at me it really throws me off and makes it worse. The other thing is that I personally have found that if you see the same kids often, they get over it or they get used to it or whatever - it becomes boring and they do not care anymore. I used to tutor the same child once a week for an entire year, just the two of us. In the beginning, he was quite surprised and flustered (he innocently asked me if I was sick and needed help lol) but, by the end, he was not bothered in the slightest. TLDR, your teacher is used to it. You can’t be weak hearted around children because they are like sharks.
