you're arguing against a point i'm not even trying to make. i'm not saying "frustration" is the only natural, inherent response to a difficult situation - neither am i implying we are uncapable of choice. yes, we should aim to be in control as much as possible on how we respond to our emotions. again, i'm not arguing that however, i'm talking about the instance where emotion *overtakes* your sense of rational decision making, the moments you **don't** feel like you're in control - you're not going to convince me you have 100% behavioural control at all times, no one has for that matter, not even the most mentally disciplined world class athletes so what do you do when you're overwhelmed by emotions? you either choose to suppress these, or you choose to channel these emotions (whether it's through meditation, physical activity, creative expression, sex, or watching a movie). the latter sounds a whole lot healthier to me than the first.
