Funny enough I talk the least in this one! I talked a lot more in journalism. In comms for a city government, I go to council meetings, am in charge of our social media, participate in the senior leadership meetings, manage pretty much every public facing initiative, manage the website, and more. This week, I helped a politician write a speech for Remembrance Day. I attended the event and took photos. I posted about it. I attended council and wrote up the decisions and distributed that. I managed community calendar submissions. I sent late garbage pickup notices through an app. Answered emails. Met with colleagues about Christmas event plans. Booked a couple newspaper ads. I made simple graphics in canva. Put money behind some posts on Facebook. Put things on the website. Then more office tasks. Days like these are pretty chill. I don't get many phone calls. The odd journalist or person with a question but not much. It gets busier when there's a fire in town or a bunch of media releases we need to do or something.
