I’m in the exact same boat. I’m 29, recently lost my job (& health insurance) of 8.5yrs, struggle with severe anxiety & depression, not sure what to do. About a week ago I slammed a bottle of vodka & emotionally exploded on my girlfriend to where she had to call my parents & I was screaming “I want to die so fucking bad, my life is hell” & throwing / break shit around my apartment & they took my guns from me & are making me see a psychiatrist to get help. I’m such an anxious fuck I couldn’t even call the psychiatrist office myself, they had to do it for me. I will say, the only thing that has really helped is benzodiazepines. I’ve only tried them a few times (Klonopin, Xanax, Valium, etc) & don’t have a consistent source unfortunately, but for someone with severe anxiety & a stutter, that’s the only thing that has made me feel like a normal person. Hoping to get a prescription from the psychiatrist during my appointment, else I’m running out of ideas as to how I’m going to move forward in life. I really do feel for ya, as I feel the exact same way. I hope we both can get help soon….
